Ingredients:
Chicken: 1 kg
Onion: 4
Tomato: 3
Green Chilli: 3
Ginger: 1 inch
Garlic: 5-6 cloves
Coriander Leaves: 2 cup
Bay Leaf: 2
Cinamon: 1
Black Pepper: 2-3
Clove: 2-3
Cardamom: 2-3
Curd: 2 tsp
Cumin Seeds: 1 tsp
Curry Leaves: 5-8 leaves
Turmeric Powder: 1/2 tsp
Red Chilli Powder: 1 tsp
Coriander Powder: 1 tsp
Oil: 2 tbsp
Water: 1 to 2 cup
Salt as needed
Method:
Step 1) Pressure cook properly cleaned and washed chicken with a pinch of turmeric and 1 to 2 cups of water for 2 whistles. Open the lid once the pressure has reduced.
Step 2) Now, heat the pan with 2 tbsp oil add cumin seeds let it splutter then add green chilli, curry leaves, ginger and garlic.Combine and mix well.
Step 3) Then add whole spices cinamon, black pepper, clove, cardamom, bay leaf.Mix well till the raw smell goes off.
Step 4) Now add onions saute till it turns golden brown in colour then add tomatoes saute till it turns soft and mushy.
Step 5) Now add turmeric powder, red chilli powder, coriander powder and salt.Mix well in a low flame for 2 to 3 minutes.
Step 6) Now turn off the flame and transfer the masala mixture to a plate and let it cool completely.
Step 7) Once it cools down transfer the masala mixture and curd to a wet grinder jar.Grind it and make a fine paste. Do not add water.
Step 8) Now, open the pressure cooker lid and let it boil for 2 to 3 minutes then add the grinded paste into it, let it boil for some time in a medium flame.
Delicious Chicken Curry ready!!!
Step 9) Serve hot with rice, roti etc.
