Ingredients:
Elephant Foot Yam: 250 gms
Potato: 6
Onion: 2
Ginger Garlic Paste: 2 tsp
Tomato Puree: 1 Cup
Green Peas: 100 gm
Turmeric powder : 1/2 tsp
Red Chilli powder : 1 tsp
Garam Masala : 1tsp
Oil : 6 tbsp
Water: 1 Cup
Salt as needed
Method:
Step 1) Firstly peel the skin of yam(suran) and Potato, wash it properly and cut it into small square pieces.
Step 2) Now in a kadai heat 2 tbsp oil add yam(suran) shallow fry with a pinch of turmeric powder and salt for 5 minutes till it becomes tender.
Step 3) After yam becomes tender keep aside.
Then add Potatoes follow the same procedure as done for yam and keep aside.
Step 4) Now in a kadai heat 2 tbsp oil add thinly sliced onion after 2 minutes add ginger garlic paste, fry it till raw smell goes off and becomes golden in colour then add tomato puree mix well .
Now add turmeric powder, red chilli powder, garam masala and bit salt.
Mix well till oil seperates.
Step 5) Now add little water mix well and then add fried yam and potatoes.
Mix well.
If you want you can add more water as per your requirement.
Once it starts boiling add green peas and cover with the lid for 5 minutes.
Step 6) After 5 minutes open the lid mix well add chopped coriander leaves.
Delicious Elephant Foot Yam and Potato Curry Ready!!
Step 7) Serve hot with roti, steamed rice, jeera rice
